We are coming to the end of another season 🐝
The previous winter was not a good one to the bees. I had lost both of the colonies.
This summer, I had caught one swarm and also purchased a colony to get the numbers back up.
However, this meant that honey production did not start until early summer. For context, the honey production usually starts as early as late April here.
I was only able to do one honey extraction this year. I am leaving the rest for the bees. Lets hope they both make it through the winter 🤞🤞
Will be winterizing them this weekend

First hive is the nucleus colony, established in our yard late June of this year. The second hive is the swarm colony which was captured early June of this year. 😋🍯
