🚨Watch for flooding tomorrow Facebook! 🚨

Do you have any important plans on Wednesday? If so, please pay very close attention to the forecast.

Significant severe thunderstorm outbreak for southern Ontario is looking increasingly likely for Wed, Sept 2nd, 2026.

Destructive damaging wind gusts, very large hail, flooding, intense lightning, and possibly several tornadoes, with a risk for strong tornadoes in southwestern Ontario.

On paper, this is the strongest severe thunderstorm and tornado risk we’ve had this season. If the environment remains as strong as a majority of models are suggesting, and the storm timing comes together just right, we could possibly be dealing with a tornado outbreak. Here’s hoping that’s not the case.

Isolated supercells will be working with an astonishingly strong environment on Wednesday, especially in the afternoon and evening. This risk extends from southwestern Ontario, through central Ontario in the afternoon/evening, extending to the GTHA, Niagara and eastern Ontario. There may be two or three separate rounds of storms throughout the morning, afternoon and evening for some of us.

Please review your emergency plan.

There’s a strong storm environment in southern Ontario today, Tuesday, Sept 1st, as well but storm development is very questionable. If storms do pop-up however, especially in southwestern Ontario, they could get quite strong. We’ll be monitoring radar closely throughout the day into the overnight.

More details and our preliminary forecast map for Wednesday will be out later today.

And, for those wondering, we’ll most certainly be live-streaming.
