This kitchen in Burlington, originally built in 1990, was in need of a significant makeover to bring it up to current aesthetic standards and building codes. The clients, who had previously worked with us, have excellent taste and were very specific about the finishes and overall tone they wanted, particularly when it came to selecting the tiles. They placed their complete trust in us regarding the layout of the counters, cabinets and appliances, which ultimately resulted in a kitchen with more usable space.

We recently elevated this 2005 bathroom up-to-date with a minimal spa-like approach, complete with heated floor + toilet. We brought in designer/artist Rachel Kienitz to work with the client on all the fixtures + textures to create a cohesive calming experience. Thanks to Aktuality Designs Custom Furniture for the custom white oak vanity and knee wall trim.

1890s face-lift
This client wanted to honour the original motif of their old home and did an excellent job sourcing all the right themes from way back when. We pulled back the many layers of plywood walls (yes plywood, not drywall, not plaster... PLYWOOD!) that were hidden behind the many layers of wallpaper. We added some new plumbing and a mile of tile, exactly how it should be in a bathroom fit for a queen + king 😉

Quick flip from a 90s DIY to something more current with new uppers + lowers + quarts + tile back splash. If everything is to code, behind the walls, then a face-lift job like this typically takes one week!

Out with the old wood spindles and in with a new simplified stainless steel look. This was a retrofit job that required a swap- out from a 25 year-old wood product to a current metal one WITHOUT replacing the oak stairs.

A back splash update along with a new range hood. What sometimes seems quick and simple with these face-lift jobs often becomes a can of worms. A lot of DIY kitchen projects, from years prior, present an array of problems (against code) that must be addressed before the cosmetic upgrades follow. We've go you covered for all of that stuff!

- 1/2 of Cousins got his feet wet renovating a 1901 loft in an old textile factory. In his former career he would shoot/direct documentary shorts of researchers at McMaster University… he shot and edited this piece to share his Reno story.

Here is a recent ceiling revamp in an older Hamilton home. We cladded using interlocking poplar and a few f-bombs... This surface refinish can really up-da-luxury with the right dynamic angles. This is also one of those relatively affordable upgrades to an average ceiling.

Basement NO-BATH to basement SPA
Full gut/reno with this one - we chipped up the floor and repaired the old clay pipes + levelled + installed heated floor and then EVERYTHING else cutting no corners and sparing no quality. Bravo to another trusting client who won big!
