Things I find (kinda) chic.

One of my favourite trends at the moment, so naturally I couldn’t resist doing my own.

Let me know in the comments ~ what do you find kinda chic?

▪️Building a business from the ground up is a funny thing.

From the outside, people see the posts, the showings, the sold signs and the wins.

What they don’t always see are the quieter moments in between. The second guessing. The wondering if you’re doing enough. If people are paying attention. If the work you’re putting in is actually making a difference.

And then someone says something.

“My neighbour is thinking of selling. I told them about you.”

“We’re not ready yet, but when we are, we’re calling you.”

“I knew you’d know what to do.”

They probably don’t think twice about it.

I do.

Because I’m still building this. One relationship, one conversation, one client at a time.

And I’m building it while being a mom, raising my girls, managing a very full life and trying to create something I’m genuinely proud of.

Some days I feel like I’m moving forward. Other days I question everything.

And then someone trusts me with their home. Asks for my opinion. Sends a friend my way. Or tells me they’ve been quietly following along.

Those moments stay with me.

There’s still a lot I want to build. But on the days when I wonder if I’m doing enough, these are the words I remember.

▪️What most people miss about floating staircases...

Most people walk into a home and notice the kitchen.

I noticed the staircase.

Not because it was the first thing I saw...

But because it quietly influences how the entire home feels.

Open risers allow natural light to flow seamlessly throughout the space. They preserve uninterrupted sightlines, making rooms feel brighter, larger and more connected.

The warm wood, natural stone and steel aren’t just beautiful materials. Together, they create a home that feels calm, balanced and timeless.

That’s what thoughtful interior design does.

Twenty years in interior design changed the way I see every home I walk into.

I rarely remember every finish or fixture.

I remember how a home made me feel.

That’s what I look for every time I walk through a front door.

Not just what makes a home beautiful...

But what makes it unforgettable.

Because the best design isn’t about impressing people.

It’s about creating a place they never want to leave.

What design detail catches your eye first when you walk into a home?

▪️This isn’t my first beginning.

If there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that starting over is rarely a single moment.

Sometimes it’s a decision.
Sometimes it’s made for you.

Looking back, I’ve started over more times than I ever imagined I would.

I’ve closed chapters I once thought would last forever.

I’ve watched carefully made plans unfold differently than I imagined.

And I’ve had to build new dreams from the ground up.

Each time, I wondered if I was strong enough to begin again.

Each time, I discovered I was.

And somewhere along the way, I became a mother.

That changed everything.

Not because it made life easier.

But because it gave every decision a deeper purpose.

It taught me that courage isn’t about never being afraid.

It’s about showing up anyway.

It reminded me that the example we set is often more powerful than the advice we give.

Today, I don’t look at those chapters with regret.
I look at them with gratitude.

They taught me resilience.
They taught me perspective.

Most of all, they taught me that who you become is often more important than what you leave behind.

Maybe this is my seventh beginning.

If you’re in a season where life feels uncertain...
Keep walking.

You don’t need to have every answer today.

Sometimes the next chapter only reveals itself after you’ve had the courage to leave the last one behind.

▪️The most important decision in this sale wasn’t accepting an offer.

It happened before the home ever hit the market.

Weeks before we launched, every decision was intentional.

How would buyers compare this home to everything else available?

Would it feel like the best value in its price range?

Would buyers feel urgency... or keep scrolling?

On the very first day, we received a full-price offer.

The sellers had a choice: accept immediately, or wait and see what the market would do.

They chose to wait.

The home ultimately sold 10 days later.

Since then, I’ve watched comparable homes come to market.

Some launched at significantly higher prices.

Many are still waiting.

That isn’t because they’re bad homes.

It’s because buyers don’t purchase based on what a seller hopes their home is worth.

They compare it to every other option they can buy that day.

That’s why I believe selling a home has never been about putting a sign on the lawn.

It’s about positioning.

The right price.
The right preparation.
The right presentation.

When those three work together, buyers notice.

As a REALTOR® and Interior Designer, that’s where I spend the majority of my time~long before a listing ever goes live.

Because great results rarely happen by chance.

They’re designed.
