We have lived here on Greenlane road, in Hawkesbury Ontario for almost 24 years now. We have always had the admiration and love of gardening and other things mother nature has to offer. In past years we have always made our gardens in raised beds and grown organic as a hobby, and f
or the love of the great outdoors.Our land has never been farmed and we have decided to expand our gardens into the field and grow more of our own fruits and vegetables to share with the public and spread the word along on the importance of growing eating and buying local. and call ourselves Greenlane Gardens. We are a biologically diverse organic farm. As a result of our deeply-held beliefs in the benefits of organic agriculture, we practice sustainable, community-based farming methods, which include careful rotational grazing, a strictly local model for doing business, and a profound respect for the life cycles of the plants. At Greenlane Gardens , we do not sell any mystery food, or foreign seeds. You don't just order five pounds of generic pork, chicken, turkey or eggs you order it from a local producer. Our produce and seeds have a story, and you -- as a customer of locally raised foods -- are part of that story. You are a co-producer with our farm. We are discovering the unique and authentic regional tastes of this area. We are rejecting the idea of food as a commodity, as mere fuel, and are rediscovering the importance of local food production to healthy local communities. Greenlane Gardens welcomes you to its family farm. We offer our customers absolutely fresh, free range eggs,and NON-GMO Heirloom and open pollinated vegetable Seeds. Greenlane Gardens only plant heirloom/heritage seeds which enable us to provide our family,friends and customers with unusual and flavorful vegetables for the discerning palate. Everything we sell is heirloom flavorful and fresh.. Our seasonal production of vegetable field crops includes heirloom tomatoes, melons,asparagus, zucchini, cucumbers, squash (summer & winter), numerous varieties of peppers (hot & sweet), yellow and green beans,assorted kinds of peas,Herbs, lettuce, onions (many varieties) Swiss chard, potatoes, carrots, garlic (4 varieties),large variety of herbs fresh and dry, Jerusalem fingerlings,horseradish, pumpkins, raspberries and so much more. Most people are aware that organically grown food is free from exposure to harmful chemicals, but that is only one small part of what organic is about.
