A beautiful cottage we had the pleasure of working at this Spring. Loving the contrast between the semi-solid stained beams and dark siding. Let us know what you think!

Beams - Beige Gray (ES-51)
Siding - Dragon’s Breath (1547)
Trim - White Ice (2139-79)
Front Door - New Pilgrim Red (ES-21)

Board and batten siding can be one of the most time consuming and challenging styles of siding to refinish. Due to the number of faces, tight corners and gaps between the battens, the paint needs to be worked in diligently with a brush. However using a sprayer to first apply the paint before back-brushing and back-rolling can greatly reduce the amount of time required, and save you BOXES of rollers and brushes! Good prep takes time, but it’s well worth it in this case.

Here we are spraying Woodluxe Solid Exterior Stain in the colour Racoon Fur (2126-20) with the 490 XT USING 315 tip

Laying down some Woodluxe Solid in the colour Dragon’s Breath (1547) with the 490XT using a 315 tip and then backrolled to work the stain into the bare wood. First time using this colour and loving the finished results. It does apply fairly green as you’ll see in the video but dries a darker gray with green undertones. Stay tuned for the finished results of this awesome Lake of Bays Bunkie!
