OUR COMPANY:
Formed in 1993, Duncan Ross Architect has been involved in a wide range of commissions across Muskoka / Parry Sound / Haliburton and beyond. The firm provides full architectural services on single projects of values up to $5 million dollars, from programming, site planning, and conceptual design, through final design and construction document production, to field review and contract
administration. The firm offers many architecture-related services to its clients, ensuring that they can single-source their project requirements (with the attendant single-source responsibility). In ever-changing economic times, the firm has prospered, with many repeat clients and most new clients gained solely by referral (the firm does not advertise). With the present compliment of one architect, five technical staff and one clerical staff, the firm has plans for growth at a controlled, steady pace, ensuing that all clients, old and new, are provided the best services possible. As part of the drive for improvement, the members of the firm are committed to continuing education to heighten professional standards and to expand the firm's horizons. The firm is keenly aware of the problems of building and maintaining buildings in more northerly climates and designs and details its buildings accordingly. DRA takes a generalist approach to architecture, knowing that our experience in a wide range of project types and project delivery methods accrues to the Client's benefit. Successfully completed project delivery methods include design-build, construction management, project management, and the traditional design-bid-build approach. Knowing when and where each method is right is of critical importance to a project and DRA can advise from practical experience.
