To say this house went through a transformation would be an understatement!
This house needed some serious help, and that’s just what we did! There’s a lot of work that you can’t even see, but is probably the most impactful. There was a large rodent presence in this house- so much so, the smell was horrendous and some of the electrical was not even working. It was practically uninhabitable!
Once it was clear of pests, and the walls were closed back up, we were able to make some of the visible changes that make it the beauty that it is. Replaced the rainbow coloured s**g rug that covered all of the floors with a high end laminate throughout. Knocked down a small wall separating the kitchen and dining area and changed the footprint of the kitchen to accommodate a family requiring more cabinet and counter space, finishing it off with a simple subway tile backsplash and contemporary white cabinets.
In the dining area, we installed a patio door to lead to a large deck (which we later built).
In the living room, we installed a new Napoleon wood stove to replace the old existing unit, replaced the 1 pane bay window with 4 smaller windows allowing just as much light in but saving $10,000 easily.
In the entry, we refinished the beautiful existing solid oak door.
Down the hallway, we finished off 3 beautiful bedrooms for the family who would soon inhabit them.
We truly were able to make this house into a home!
