HVAC TIP #1 - Question we get asked a lot is how come my heat pump shuts down periodically? or how come there’s a pile of ice under my heat pump?

The reason for this is that heat pumps sometimes go into what’s called a defrost cycle where the heat pump temporarily reverses it’s refrigerant charge to bring the warm gas to condenser to melt ice or frost build up.

It does this to increase efficiency and allow proper air flow through the coil.

Some months it may defrost more than others

It has been brought to our attention that there might be a company imitating us.
We received a call from one of our customer yesterday mentioning that a company called stating that they are Southern Comfort and offer free in home evaluation. This customer provided us with a phone number (Grimbsy area) and the person’s name they were speaking with. The customer also mentioned that the person sounded like they were speaking from a script. We have tried to reach out to that number but cannot call through.
If you have received a call like this, please let us know.
