Big Cat Painting is a local, family-owned business in Invermere, BC, built on values of care, respect, and high-quality craftsmanship. We take immense pride in treating every client's home as if it were our own, and we are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join our crew for the upcoming season.

We are hiring for two distinct roles:

Full-Time Permanent Painter: For those looking to build a long-term career with a locally rooted company.

Full-Time Summer Painter: Perfect for students or seasonal workers looking for a busy, rewarding summer in the Valley.

Our projects range from vaulted ceilings to interior and exterior refreshes, as well as commerical jobs.

Your primary responsibilities will include removing old paint or wallpaper through scraping/sanding, and filling imperfections with putty and sanding for a flawless finish. Along with caulking trim, baseboards, windows, doors etc.

Moving furniture and carefully masking floors, trim, and fixtures with drop cloths to ensure a mess-free environment.

Applying high-quality paints, stains, and sealers using brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.

Setting up ladders and scaffolding safely.

We aren't just looking for someone who can swing a brush—we want a professional who represents our brand.

You must be comfortable working independently in private residences, maintaining a high level of discretion, integrity, and respect for client property at all times. We value a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance—wearing "painter's whites" is a big plus!

You should be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable working on ladders. Comfort with heights is a plus; however, we can make accommodations for the right candidate.

A strong eye for crisp lines and a commitment to leaving every job site cleaner than you found it.

Clear, professional communication with both team members and clients.

We offer Competitive Pay: Wages are based on experience. ( $22.00 to $32.00 per hour.)

Benefits: Full-time permanent employees are eligible for extended healthcare benefits after 90 days.

Big Cat Painting this Spring Break, and we knew we had to pull out all the stops to get everything finished and ready for the kids to return. Since it was a tight timeline, we turned it into a true family affair!

​A huge shoutout to our incredible "junior crew"—the kids have been amazing help with prepping and cleaning up. And of course, a special thank you to Grandma, who jumped in to make sure we stayed on track and met our deadline! 👵💪

​There’s nothing like a little family teamwork to get the job done right. We love being part of this community and helping local spaces look their best.

​Hopefully the kids loved to see their fresh new space last Monday! 🌈✨

​We’re back at a project we originally finished 4 years ago for a quick "refresh." Even with the best care, it’s completely normal to see slight nicks or wear around the handles after a few years of daily use.
