Make sure your furnace vents are clear of snow and ice. A build up of ice or an accumulation of snow can lead to potentially deadly carbon monoxide levels in homes.
Even if the snow accumulation in your area is not high enough to reach your vents, blowing and drifting snow can be enough to create a problem. There is, however, a much greater risk of this happening during times of increased snow accumulation.
Don't take any chances, stay safe and clear those vents.
