Outdoor carpet on a deck. My wife, Katherine, and I installed this outdoor carpet on the front porch of our church-owned rental house. We used a drip flashing along the perimeter and wrapped the carpet over the edge. We used the excess as a runner down the middle.

Another Builder/Renovator Recommendation.

Streit Bros. Flooring has worked with (or for) Troy Froese off and on for 5 or 6 years now. Troy is an amazing builder and renovator, very pleasant, a good communicator, and does an outstanding job. What's not to love? Highly recommended!

2 ways to fix black grout that turns white.

Black grout turns white due to soluable salts rising to the surface.

This is not due to substandard tiles, adhesives, or grout.

Here's how to fix it if it bothers you:

1) Scrub the white grout with a stiff bristled brush to remove the salts, and vacuum away.

2) Or, using a craft paint brush, you can paint your grout with with a black grout sealer.

Here's a staircase we installed in May 2024 for Skygreen Homes. Super labor-intensive! The stair nosings were manufactured by AC Mouldings from the vinyl plank we installed throught the whole home. We also trimmed the stairwell up top with custom stair nosing.
