Grill tip: always let your steak rest. 🥩

We know — it’s the hardest part. You’ve got the perfect crust, the smell is incredible, and everything in you says cut it now.

Don’t. 🔥

Give it 5–10 minutes off the heat. Those juices need time to redistribute back through the meat. Slice too early and they end up on your cutting board instead of in your steak.

Five minutes of patience is the difference between a good steak and a great one. ⏱️

The easiest side you’ll make all summer 🌽

Grilled corn is a Lake Simcoe BBQ classic, and getting it right is simpler than you think. Here’s how:

🔥 Husk it completely — no foil, no soaking. Direct contact with the grates is what gives you that char.
💧 Pat it dry, then brush with oil. Dry corn chars; wet corn steams.
⏱️ Grill 10–12 min over medium-high, turning every few minutes until the kernels are golden with blistered, charred spots.
🧈 Butter it while it’s hot, then hit it with salt, pepper, and a good squeeze of lime.

That lime is the secret — the acidity is what makes the sweetness pop. 🍋
