Crop Talk! I wanted to share these Mini Greenhouses. The design for them is found in the book How To Grow More Vegetables by John Jeavons. It is 50 years of growing experience across the world in one book. I use these practices and principles in the book called Grow BioIntensive. WyrdWood Acres was built on this process. Creating a near self sustaining urban garden.

In these Greenhouses I am growing Amish Paste tomatoes. Hoping to get some amazing fruit and seed from them this year. Sweet Corn and Pumpkin Pie in the next and finally Cayenne and Jalapeños Peppers and Cucumbers in the last one. Eventually the crops will spill out the top and the lid is removed at night as well. These mini greenhouses create an optimal environment for hot crops in the mountains by keeping the soil at a higher temperature at night, so the plants can get an earlier start at growth during the morning. We were blessed with sweet corn last year, some even had 2 horns!

Welcome. WyrdWood Acres will be open Saturdays 11am to 2pm. We are also open to appointments if you want to come see what we have if you cannot make it on Saturdays. Please PM for appointment. I am getting more plant starts ready throughout the week. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Beans, Cabbages, Brocolli, Marigolds, and many other flowers and herbs. We got all our garden and crafted items as well! See you Saturday! We take cash and card! Here is a list of the plants we currently have available.
