I am heartbroken to say that Jorgen left us suddenly and naturally at home in the early morning of Thursday July 18th 💔
Jorgen spent the night prior happily going through his treasures and showing me such things as pieces of meteorites he had found at the places he loved most and what he thought might have been his big find! He was happy! He was in pain though and that is something Jorgen has dealt with for some time, not only physically but mentally! Seeing him happy his last night on earth means a lot to me!!
While on this earth Jorgen loved to look for things from historical times. He had an incredible knowledge of history and the earth and universe and often had to explain it to me as I did not have the knowledge he had.
Jorgen was my gardening partner and loved to garden at home. He enjoyed cloning trees and plants and extending their growth. It bothered Jorgen if things were going to die at stores and would bring them home and nurse them back to life. He would split hostas every spring and looked forward to watering everything daily. He would be very proud to share his bounty with others. His contributions to the dinner table were wonderful.
Jorgen was also my very loyal friend. Loyalty was important to him and he could not understand why others sometimes did not always share his loyalty. He worried about people and would often give his last dollar to those in need.
Jorgen was also my son! We saw each other every day! He hugged me when I needed it and I him. We did not always agree but we did agree to disagree!
For those who got to know Jorgen they knew he was a very sensitive young man with a big heart. He loved fishing and would spend countless hours in his father’s ice shack waiting for the pike to bite. He would clean fish with perfection and be very proud to share with everyone.
I will miss Jorgen desperately but know his time on earth was only temporary as is mine!
I wish Jorgen safe travels while he journeys to infinity and beyond and there he will find peace!!
He will join his Grandmother & Grandfather Hawkey and Nana Snelgrove who he has missed desperately and his loyal canine friends who have been waiting for him eagerly Spirit and Shasta.
TIL we meet again!!
