Presenters:

Tanya Browers, MSc, is an expert in soil management practices on land that has not historically been farmed. Her knowledge contributes to her job as coordinator for the Cattle and Forage BC Living Lab mother site for Thompson Rivers University. Tanya interprets the science to practical day-to-day farming practices. She believes that you can work with the land, rather than against it, and increase your profits.

Julia Smith of SSMPA brings together hands-on farming and grassroots organizing to offer a down-to-earth approach to grazing mentorship. Her experience across a range of farming organizations gives her a broad perspective that producers at any stage can draw from. Julia offers practical expertise in livestock, rotational grazing, fencing, and grazing plan development.

The program is a collaboration between Small-Scale Meat Producers Association, the Yukon Government Agriculture Branch, and the Yukon Agricultural Association, with funding provided by Farmers for Climate Solutions.
