Over 125 liters of dandelions and devils paintbrush (the lawn was surpisingly free of broad leaf plantains) are the result of a dedicated w**d pulling session from a 1000sq foot lawn from this weekend.

No Ontario compliant pesticides can compete with a manual w**d pulling - in fact pesticides on their own just wont cut it. A uniform and w**d free lawn requires proper upkeep with yearly seeding, fertilizing and top soil amendments, regular mowing and manual w**ding, and watering during growth and dry periods!

As a standard part of my full service contracts I include once a month manual w**ding and rock picking sessions on all lawns I service!

What does the weekend leave in your parking lot?

Ciggarette butts, socks, bandaids, food packaging, coffee cups, candy wrappers, nails, broken glass, and more?

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I complete litter pickup and ciggarette butt sweeping at all commercial properties on my maintenance route.

Why 3 times a week rather than once a week?

When so many customers, employees and passers-by come through your business it's inevitable that waste comes with them!

The busier your business, the more activity, the more litter that appears - and more people to see the state of your commercial lot!

Will be heading to the dump after I finish my commercial litter pickup route downtown - I will have room for about 1m5 cubic meters of waste if anybody has anything that needs to go PM for an addon to my dump run.

What I managed to collect in my 3 hour volunteer bin watch shift behind the LCBO. Pop and alcohol cans & bottles, clothes, cigarette packs, tires, paraphanelia, broken glass, dog waste bags, furniture and more.

Let's all do our part to clean the town up after a long winter! Hoping for a stronger turnout tomorrow while the bin is in Chapeut Hughes!

Currently doing our wednesday commercial and rental litter sweep!

Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 3 times a week every week during the summer:
Tree line, parking lots, walkways, the town sidewalk out front and even the curb line!
All litter, cuggarette butts, and hazards removed multiple times a week - Tyler's Property Maintenance & Contracting believes your loyal customers, tenants and workers deserve a clean, welcoming and safe outdoor common area!

I will soon be posting examples of the items I commonly pickup from properties including: "substance" containers and equipment, glass, nails, animal waste, large pebbles and anything else that finds it's way where it shouldnt be!

The Town of Kirkland Lake's community cleanup week is ongoing, each day provides another opportunity for the members of our community to excersize their civic pride! Thanks to the town and KL Beautification Committee a bin is currently at the corner of Foss lane and Greirson.

This bin is provided to dispose of collected garbage bags of litter from your neighbourhood: sidewalks, laneways, ditches and parks!

Please use the bin responsibly and for bagged litter only!
