Is your lawn actually ready for spring — or are you hoping for the best? 👇

This is honestly the most important time of year for your lawn. What you do in the next few weeks sets the tone for the entire season. Get it right now and you'll spend the rest of summer enjoying your yard instead of fighting it.

Here's a simple spring checklist to work through at your own pace:

✅ Rake out dead grass, leaves and any winter debris ✅ Check for bare or patchy spots that need reseeding ✅ Apply a pre-emergent w**d control before w**ds take hold ✅ Fertilize to give your grass the nutrients it needs to grow strong ✅ Set your mower blade higher — cutting too short weakens your lawn

You don't have to do it all in one weekend. Take it one step at a time and your lawn will thank you by July. 🍁

We get asked all the time — "can my lawn actually look like that?" And the honest answer is yes. 🌱

The before photo on the left? That's what most Ontario lawns look like after a long winter. Patchy, dry, full of w**ds. Totally normal — but also totally fixable.

The after photo on the right didn't happen overnight. It took the right products, the right timing, and a few simple habits done consistently through the season.

We started this page to help Canadian homeowners get there without the guesswork. No complicated advice — just practical tips that actually work in our climate. 🍁

Follow our page and we'll walk you through it step by step this season.

Have you ever spent an hour pulling w**ds only to see them back a week later? 👇

You're not doing it wrong — you're just fighting a losing battle without the right approach.

Here's the truth most people don't know. When you pull a w**d by hand and leave even a small piece of the root behind it grows right back. Sometimes faster and stronger than before. And if that w**d has already flowered? You've just spread hundreds of seeds across your lawn without realising it.

The most effective way to deal with w**ds is to stop them before they even start. A good pre-emergent w**d control applied early in the season prevents w**ds from establishing in the first place. And for w**ds that are already there — a targeted w**d control product gets to the root and kills it completely.

Work smarter not harder. 🍁

Follow our page for honest, practical w**d control advice that actually works for Canadian lawns and climates.

What w**d gives you the most trouble every year? Dandelions? Crabgrass? Something else? Drop it in the comments and we might do a full post on it! 👇

Most Ontario homeowners fertilize once in spring and call it done. Here's what actually works:

✅ Late April to early May — once you see the grass growing, that's your sign ✅ Check the forecast — apply before rain or water it in yourself ✅ Don't skip September — one fall application and your lawn will be in much better shape come spring

Small things done at the right time make a big difference.
