Another project completed and another one in the making for—and alongside—Dwayne and Wendy! 🔨☀️
This time, we transformed the narrow side passage beside their home into a more protected, practical, and comfortable walkway. Together, we constructed a custom timber framework and installed clear corrugated roofing, providing shelter from rain and falling debris while still allowing plenty of natural light into the space.
Working within a tight area and around the existing structures and mature trees required careful planning, patience, and a little creativity—but those are often the projects that make the finished result most rewarding. Shoutout to Dwayne for taking charge of planning and envisioning this space!
What made this experience especially meaningful was having the opportunity to work with Dwayne and Wendy again. Being invited back for another project is one of the greatest compliments a contractor can receive. Every project has its ups and downs, just like every swing of a hammer; their trust, encouragement, ideas, and willingness to work alongside me made this feel like a true collaboration from beginning to end.
Some projects improve a property. Others also strengthen the relationships built along the way. I’m grateful that this one accomplished both and would like to thank Dwayne for teaching me
