Here’s our top three closing tips for making your life easier in the spring.
1. Close with clean, balanced water
Vacuum, remove debris, balance the water, and add the proper winter chemicals. Whatever goes in dirty usually comes out… still dirty.
2. Use a properly fitted winter cover
Make sure it’s secure with no gaps. Leaves are great on trees—not decomposing in your pool all winter.
3. Don’t close too early
Wait until the water stays consistently below 15°C. Closing while it’s still warm is basically giving algae a cozy little vacation home.
