Just a simple 6' fence with some flare at the front. A little extra detail goes a long way. Made with locally grown/milled eastern white cedar.

Dear Matt,

Just a note to tell you how much we appreciate your fine workmanship on our new gazebo. We know it will stand the test of time and that we will be able to enjoy it for years to come. We had lunch there yesterday and our evening drink of kombucha before supper too. The gazebo is just what we wanted for that space.

It is too bad your last day here turned out to be such a busy one for us, so much so that I did not have the opportunity to express my thanks and admiration for your fine work.

We feel so blessed to have such a fine structure to protect us from the sun. Thank you for your patient and meticulous work.

Eastern White Cedar Deck and Staircase. We had an opportunity to play with a few detail on this project like solid 8x8 posts and beams with housed knee braces and engineer stamped newel posts to increase their strength allowing them to be installed on the outside of the frame. The staircase was installed on the old deck first, incorporating winding steps that required a 53 degree angle to meet their existing walkway.
The deck was torn down and replaced the next year which made the construction a little more complicated but allowed my clients to address their main concerns while working within their budget.

Eastern white cedar privacy fence. The 4 posts were stained last year after we installed the interlock (and posts) in stage 1 of a multi-stage design that will be added to over the next few years. As we excavated the area water began pouring in from an underground spring over the shallow bedrock. Instead of standard fence post holes we went with a clear stone base to allow the water to continue it's natural path, a concrete footing anchored with rebar and custom metal brackets to mount the posts to the footing. It also doubles as a wind break standing up to enough force to blow a BBQ over.
