Did you know standing or slow moving water on your asphalt driveway can be a real issue to the integrity of the base below.
Standing water will eventually find it's way down to the base making it soft, so as you drive your vehicle across the trouble area the asphalt now moves and flexes causing cracks in your asphalt. As more cracks appear the easier it is for water to pe*****te the asphalt and cause the base to become more like mud than gravel, which in turn creates a deeper and softer depression until eventually your driveway completely falls apart.

Another job well done. Cant say it was easy but we got it done and more importantly the customer is very pleased.

Full dig out of old asphalt and 2 foot of sand. Put in a proper base compacted and let sit for almost a month. Had a dump truck with 22.8 ton drive on it and no sinking.
