Meet me at the Market! Cedar Tide Pottery will be at the Cedar Farmers Market tomorrow Sunday May31st from 930-2pm. It is going to be a beautiful day to spend browsing local Farmers, artisans and food vendors! This is my first Market of the season and I can't wait! See you tomorrow!

Its time to glaze!

I started by applying underglaze transfers. They go on to the piece kind of like a temporary tattoo! Cut out the image you want, place it on the pottery piece and then apply a damp sponge on to the transfer. Allow enough water to saturate the paper but not too much. After a few minutes remove the tissue paper carefully and ensure the image has completely transfered.

Next apply 3 coats of a base glaze, Amaco flux blossom in this case. Let it dry completely and then add the top glaze, chun plum for this piece.

Once it has completely dry and you have enough pottery glazed fire it to 2195 degrees in the kiln. Then... magic the finished piece!

Here it is! My newest creation! This bowl does it all! Herb stripper, garlic grater dressing bowl with pour spout! It would also work great for making mixed drinks! Grate the strawberries add simple syrup, mint and fresh lime! šŸ„° Available at Cedar Farmers Market this Sunday May 31st from 10 until 2.

Hello! It has been way to long! I am finally back in the studio making some wine tumblers! I have also been working away behind the scenes making all sorts of fun things for the upcoming Market on May 31st.
