We have wrapped up our 2025 season! The last produce boxes have been delivered, pictured here! 🎃

This was our first year delivering free produce boxes to families in our community.

This year we:
-Delivered 15 produce boxes
-Gave out free plant starts
-Harvested over 300 gallons of potatoes
-Grew 110 lbs of tomatoes
-Raised over $3000 for feeding families next year
-Did outreach at community and province wide events
-Made lasting friends and connections

❤️ Thank you so much to our community for supporting us this gardening season!

We gave out our first ever food box today! This is something we've been working towards for a long time that we are super proud of- providing fresh local produce and goods to those who may not have access to it in their everyday life.

We want to give a huge thank you to:

Mumm's Sprouting Seeds for the sprouting kits! 🌱

Anita Smith and Neal Smith for the ground beef! 🥩

Paquette Farm for the eggs! 🥚

Mona Chalifour for the use of land and the endless weeding and watering! 🌿

And of course all produce, plant starts, seeds and baked goods supplied by us! 🌼

We couldn't have done any of this without the generous support of our community. This is the first of many to come! ❤️

Thank you to for hosting the Pollination Celebration & Native Plant Market today! 🌱

We got lots of plants for our native plant garden section of the Mistik garden that we're working on this year!

Take opportunities to learn more about native plants in your area! Some of the benefits of native plants include being vital for local pollinators, conservation of water as they require less than non-native plants, and providing a habitat for beneficial insects and other wildlife.

Want more butterflies 🦋? This is the way to do it!

Some of our favourite native plants to Saskatchewan include yarrow, coneflower, fireweed, goldenrod, wild mint, wild strawberries, prairie sage, and Saskatoon berries!

What's your favourite native plant? 🪴

Seed starting!? In February!? Yes!

We've just put some seeds in soil this past week, and it felt great to get some of the 2025 gardening season kick started! We have our little plant babies in a heated "greenhouse", and some seedling warming mats to keep them nice and toasty in this Saskatchewan winter weather!

Let me tell you, our community SHOWS UP! We were able to purchase most of our seeds with the support of our community purchasing from our farmer's market tables, as well as generous donations from community members. We couldn't do this without you! With your help, we are going to be able to grow twice as many vegetables to help feed our community this year. Thank you!
