Did anyone catch the eclipse on Wednesday? 🌞🌑

I missed it, but apparently those of you out East had a much better view than we did here in Ontario!

One of my favourite things to watch at Mavillette Beach was the surfers. 🌊🏄

I could sit and watch them for ages — waiting for the right wave, getting knocked down, paddling back out and doing it all over again. 😊

There was just something about seeing those boards out on the water that became part of the scenery I loved so much.

So I’m curious…

The things you see when you add a morning walk to your routine… 😂

First I spot this dresser sitting there marked FREE and immediately think, I wish I had the truck! 🤣 But my walk had barely begun, so I kept on going.

Then there are the other benefits of walking… apparently I earn a little income along the way from time to time. 😂🪙

And then there are the little visitors you might have completely missed if you hadn’t been out there in the first place. 🐇

One thing I’ve learned since making walking part of my routine is that it isn’t only about exercise.

Yes, every walk gets me one step closer to my goals — but I’ve also learned to slow down enough to notice the little things along the way. 😊💚

Let’s talk about the FOOD part of Food • Wellness • Community. 😋

If you knew Snacks On Shore back in the day, you already know I’ve always loved good food.

That part hasn’t changed. 😂

But around here, food isn’t going to mean eating “perfectly.”

Some days it might be ribs and a creamy pasta salad like this. Other days it might be a big salad, an omelette, a burger or whatever I can pull together with what’s already in the fridge.

Real food. Real life.

I’d love to start sharing more recipes here — some old favourites, some healthier options, easy meals, baking and probably a few of those foods that bring back memories too.

So I’m curious…

What kind of recipes would YOU actually like to see here?

Comfort food? Easy suppers? Salads? Baking? Old-fashioned recipes? Healthier meals?

So… is Snacks On Shore open again? 😊

I’ve had a couple of people ask me that since this familiar little boat suddenly appeared again.

And I guess the answer is… not at the beach — but Snacks On Shore IS coming back in a brand-new way. 💚

The little white and blue snack boat gave me so many wonderful memories—fries, smash burgers, walking tacos, gourmet dogs, chilli cheese fries, ice cream… and those jumbo cinnamon buns that somehow managed to sell out every single day. 😂

Apparently some of you remember those days too. 💚

Today, Snacks On Shore is becoming an online gathering place where we can still come together. I’ll be sharing food and recipes, simple wellness ideas, everyday life, good conversations and hopefully a little encouragement along the way.
