Heirlooms Custom Cabinetry & Furniture High quality cabinetry and furniture tailored to each client's specific style and needs. This family business was founded by Heather & Dwayne Brubacher in 1996.

Initially, they built furniture and cabinetry for large retail furniture businesses but soon realized their passion was to design and build handcrafted customized pieces for the individual client. Dwayne and Heather, along with their skilled staff, now focus on high quality detailed products tailored to each client’s specific style and needs.

We love the details in this kitchen!

The lower cabinets are rift-cut white oak. The cut runs the grain in tight vertical lines instead of the cathedral arches you’d see on flat-sawn oak. Paired with black glass-front uppers and the arched plaster range niche, the wood becomes the warm, quiet thread holding it all together.

A double vanity in maple, stained Fossil Stone, built for an ensuite renovation.

A few details worth noticing:
• Drawer fronts across the base for clean storage • Matching linen tower on the right, with a pull-out hamper hidden behind the door • Top Knob’s Torbay pulls in matte black throughout • White quartz top with undermount sinks

The pocket doors on this upper cabinet slide back into the case, opening onto a finished interior with floating shelves for the wineglasses. Closed, the cabinet reads tight and clean against the rest of the white oak. Open, it turns into a small bar moment without leaving glassware out on the counter every day.

We built this kitchen around custom stained walnut. A wood this warm can make a room feel heavy fast, so the white quartz counters are there to keep everything balanced and bright.

Worth calling out:
• Slab-front doors in custom stained walnut
• Upper cabinets built on an angle to sit tight against the sloped ceiling, no dead gap left at the top
• Fridge and freezer integrated behind matching walnut panels in the tall run
• A glass-front cabinet worked into that same run for everyday display
• A custom hood over the range, clad in walnut to match the cabinetry
