Have I ranted before about how much I. Do. Not. like earwigs?

Since moving here, we find them all over - just a part of living near a little creek, and life having a bit more moisture over here.

I had heard they were excellent pollinators - but I was not expecting an earwig butt in my flowers this morning 😂

A little Raspberry bush update:

Turns out... they're not the happiest little plants when they're in the direct sunlight for too long...

Which means this giant bush has Raspberries that look like this! They're about 6 weeks behind these other, lovely looking Raspberries...

Waddyagunnado? 🤷‍♀️

Maybe I'll find ways to give it some more shade next year 😏

Check out this Raspberry bush 👀

Chris and I talked a long time ago about how we wanted a giant Raspberry bush in our forever backyard... and we have that, as well as a huge spread of wild strawberries, and mulberry bushes out the w***o!

(Side note, no idea where Out The W***o came from 😳)

I love that this gorgeous space came with it's own little ecosystems.

There are parts of this space that honestly don't need us to care for them. Some parts are literally best left to be wild, and simply admired.

I may trim a w**d or two out of here...but w**ds are just plans that you don't want growing in a spot 🤷‍♀️

It's been a minute, y'all! So many changes happening all at once - thankful for the wonderful community I've built around me for helping me get through this wild ride 😻

Check out my new backyard. I cannot WAIT to get started gardening.

The gardens around the house are already landscaped, so I'm only adding a few things here and there...such as roses, which I'll have updates on soon.

This space though. My soul will find peace, here. And if not, I'll at least have a great spot to feel wild! 🤪

Creating new bracelets with colour combinations I've never tried before...

Loving the combination of the Citrine Quartz with the Picture Jasper - and the little charms just top off the burst of refreshing sunshine and warmth that this piece will bring 🔥🌞

Get out of the way of your own sunshine!

I used to say that my purpose was to be the shining ray of sunshine, lighting up the way for those around me - and I still strive to be that person, because I don't think I can turn that part of myself off 😅

But what about being my own ray of sunshine?

I have lost myself more times than I can count while helping someone else see their own light...

33 is going to be the year that I shine MY brightest. I owe it to my kids...my family...my friends...my partner....to be the best me I can be...but most importantly, I owe it to MYSELF to be the best version of myself 🥰

And, just a friendly reminder, that you owe it to YOURSELF to be the best you that you can be, too 😉 💜

Are you like me, and got so excited about the lovely weather we've been having that you put all of your flowers and food plants in the ground already, TOTALLY FORGETTING that there is still a risk of frost? 🥶

Well, here is your friendly, late night reminder! The Weather Network says the temperature will feel close to 1°C, but I have no interest in taking a chance and allowing any of my very few plants to die, given that I also have no interest in replacing them 😂

You can use garbage bags, pillowcases, tarp - whatever you need to keep your plants safe from the cold.

Unless they are frost resistant! I'm worrying a little bit about my tomatoes and peppers, but not even a little bit about the beets, peas, lettuce, spinach, or kale that I'm growing (from seed!) They are all early season crops, and sometimes actually benefit from a cold burst!

Pictured is one of the flowers I planted over the weekend, that I'm not sure will make it. So we'll enjoy its bright colours for now 🥰
