As a result of continued growth, our company has excellent opportunities for the position of AutoCAD Draftsperson who are looking for a stable career with unlimited growth potential. The successful candidate will be an individual who is reliable, responsible and works well in a team environment and on their own.
Duties in this position include, but not limited to:
- Develop and prepare shop designs and drawings in AutoCAD, from preliminary concepts, sketches.
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
- Respond in a timely manner to issues that may surface during fabrication and installation regarding the fabrication and shop drawings
- Work with PMs, and Production Manager for fabricating information, ensuring all deadlines are met and product is to specs.
- Create production drawings and materials lists
- Visit job sites to understand site conditions, scope of work and use total station measuring system to calculate complex measurements.
- Revise shop drawings per internal review and responsible to keep track of the revisions
- Prepare as-built shop drawing at end of the project
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year in the glazing industry working on Curtain Wall, Storefront, Windows, ACM panels preferred
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at any given time
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent Architectural Technology
- Minimum 2 year College course in AutoCAD
- Ability to travel for work required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
