Once again the Mahone Bay Garden Club had a very successful plant sale. Fortunately the sale was held inside the Parish Hall of St. James Church as it was cool outside.
Thank you to all the volunteers, the Garden Club members that donated, especially David Veinotte of Old Reo Nursery in Clearland and to all the buyers.
We sold out in record time. Proceeds from the sale will be used for projects in the town of Mahone Bay.

On Saturday May 9th, interested gardeners gathered at the Community Garden at St. James Anglican Church for a workshop on growing vegetables from seed, led by Jenny Sandison
At the garden there are four raised beds in which vegetables are grown for the community. Jenny talked about soil preparation, sewing of seeds, thinning, providing support and watering.
Peas had already been planted, and these had already sprouted and some support was added. Sugar snap peas, bush beans and carrots were planted at this session.
Thank you Jenny for this informative session.

On a beautiful Saturday spring morning, members of the Mahone Bay Garden Club, got together at the Aquatic Garden for a spring cleanup.

The sun was out and the wind was behaving, a real tease for the gardening days ahead!

Thank you to Sherry, Claire, Jenny, Patricia, Cathy, Russ and Linda for working on this garden which is enjoyed by many.
