This is NUTS 🥜! If projections are correct, tomorrow morning diesel will be approximately $1.84/litre. For us, this means that every kilometre we drive with our trailer for work, it will cost us $0.35. Let me put that in perspective using free quotes:

Distance to provide quote = 25km (each way)
Quotes = 1.5 hours ($80/hour is our combined fee)

Total cost to provide a free quote= $137.50

So if we provide just 4 quotes a week, it costs us at least $550.

What are small businesses supposed to do?? Charge for quotes and upset potential clients, or raise their hourly rate to absorb these outrageous increases upsetting existing customers?

Please take things like this into consideration when you question why small businesses have to charge “so much” for what they do. We are at the economy’s mercy too.
