Manitoba Maple (Acer negundo) 🌳 are considered an invasive species to certain regions of Ontario. Because they are a fast growing tree, the wood is very brittle and weak under stress. Hence, a unforseen weather event is very threatening to the trees structural integrity.
Manitoba maple use a Dioecious reproduction method, resulting in rapid seed dispersal 🌱and seed survival success. After a removal, the stump should be removed, if not, it triggers a survival mechanism. Resulting in various new shoots 🌱.
