A bold rebrand for an e-motorcycle built on speed, efficiency, and impact, LIMA reimagines spatial identity through raw, industrial textures and oversized, boxy forms; broad planes that frame the machine with confidence. High-contrast lighting and sharp pops of colour cut through the space, adding energy and depth while keeping the system lean and intentional. The result is immersive but controlled: a strong, modern presence that reflects performance and sustainability without excess.

Early spatial studies (slide two) explored alternate directions, testing proportion, density, and visual rhythm, before refining into the final, resolved system shown above.

🎩 Carrying heritage forward - the story behind the revitalization of the Market Square Condominiums Lobby & Facade:

Located across from St. Lawrence Market in Toronto’s historic district, the South Lobby of Market Square Condominiums was reimagined as a continuation of the building’s forward-looking relationship with heritage.

Originally designed in the 1980s as a contemporary interpretation of its 19th-century surroundings, our redesign carries that spirit forward by preserving the original brickwork—an architectural signature of the building—while introducing soft, sculptural forms, curated materials, and engineered removable wall panels that sit beyond existing surfaces.

Signature details were thoughtfully repurposed, including the original bronze Pegasus door handles transformed into a bespoke wall sconce, creating moments of memory and continuity for residents. The result is a lobby that bridges past and present, honouring heritage not by freezing it in time, but by allowing it to evolve.

The opening took place on the evening of October 30th, and we were overwhelmed by the joy and heartfelt compliments from residents and neighbors in this vibrant heritage neighborhood at the heart of downtown Toronto.
