If Walls could Speak

For those that are unaware; I was in a MVC in Feb of this year and sustained injuries that have kept me unable to paint this season. Currently, going on 7 months later I am still dealing with an open wound and no chance for climbing ladders anytime soon. Which, of course is the bulk of my work.

Due to this I have had to take employment that was less physically demanding. As such, and, as recovery has been excruciatingly slow I am closing my doors permanently to large projects and whole home paints. And, unfortunately, currently unable to take on or complete any projects.

There is a possibility that after Christmas or in spring I'll be good as new and able to take on some smaller projects however I will have to wait until that time comes to make the decision. Currently it's not even within my scope.

Thank you to all my friends and loyal customers. To those who have passed my name along. To anyone who has gotten a quote or taken the time to call and ask for advice on colours or paints types. To anyone who has allowed me to change their space, or even spend time with their pets. :D

Most recent colour update!

I was hired to do a full repaint on 85% of the main floor of this beautiful home. The family took a much needed break so I was able to get in, do the repaint and be finished before they returned from holidays.

The existing colour was the original paint from the build. Browns and neutrals throughout. As you will see in the photos the customer chose some daring colours and it greatly paid off. The house looks fantastic in every light!

Paint used was Dulux Lifemaster Series in Pearl with both bathrooms in Kitchen and Bath - semi-gloss.

In total this project took me 46 hours to complete. That included prep and paint. It also pretty solidly cured my fear of heights with the ceilings anywhere from 12 - 15 feet high. :)

Being on a ladder, or fixing holes in walls or rolling colour keep my hands pretty busy and rather dirty most days. However I do take short break throughout the work day and am happy to respond as soon as I can.

Rental was in very bad shape. Previous tenant and painters who had been hired before had applied several coats of paint without any wall repairs being done. Paint was chipping and peeling in many spots, some trim required a heat gun and removal of approx - 10 - 15 layers of paint.
