Welcome to our page! We are located in Cypress County, just outside Medicine Hat, AB, although shipping is available! A blessed mama tof 5, Grandma to 1, married to my Canadian military husband for 20+ years. We have made MH our home since July of 2013. We LOVE the small city feel and sense of community we have here! So much so, that after my husband had retired after 30 years with the military an

d we could move anywhere, we decided to stay in the area and recently purchased an acreage just outside the city! We started our little journey in October of 2014 after we'd made a few items and friends suggested we should start selling our crafts! We have now grown in to operating out of our 40'x50' shop located on our new property, including a large laser, a whole room dedicated to apparel stock and so much more! Everything you see is made in our home based business, by my hands, (with a little help from the family) :) A little about what is offered... Custom wood signs ( the ones we do are all custom orders and are painted in house!) Also offered are many types of other custom items, lasered cutting boards, laser DIY kits, Custom t-shirts., sweatshirts, tank tops and diaper shirts. Some memories deserve to be heard, not just seen. ❤️

Dementia is cruel. It takes little pieces of someone long before it takes them from you. I’m going to record my mom’s voice and make one of these ornaments for each of my siblings, because I know there will come a day when hearing her voice will mean more than any gift possibly could.

These little vintage radio ornaments hold a custom recording inside. Press the button to hear a message, a child’s voice, a favourite little laugh—or anything else you never want to forget.

Last one for the night!

Finished up this sweet custom building-brick holder for B, featuring some of the cats she’s loved on in Turkey, Puerto Rico, and Key West.

Such a fun little keepsake of some pretty special memories.

And now… back to school tomorrow and back to routine for us! Good luck to all the littles heading back, and to all the mamas and papas trying to get everyone out the door on time without losing their minds 😂

New product alert!!

I may be a little obsessed with these.

Custom photo building-brick holders are now officially a thing at Timber & Threads!

Each holder is built from individual white bricks and UV printed with your photos, so the image runs right across the brick faces. I added a travel quote to one side of this one and used some of our favourite trip photos on the others, and I LOVE how it turned out.

A little behind-the-scenes look at a larger custom order.

200 gear tags + 200 zipper pulls for Search & Rescue Alberta — 400 custom pieces in total.

No staged photos this time… just the very real aftermath of days of UV printing, cutting, tying, assembling and checking every single piece by hand. 😂

This one was definitely labour-intensive, but I’m so happy with how it all turned out, and pretty honoured to have been trusted to create them for an organization that does so much for people across Alberta.

This was a totally new kind of sign for me, and I’ll admit I was a little hesitant when I first took it on. Trying new things can scare me sometimes — especially when I already have a picture in my head of how I want something to turn out. 😅

But I am SO glad I went for it.

Lee’s custom Pokéman Cave sign combines layered maple, painted maple lettering with a natural maple offset, and full-colour UV printed characters — and I absolutely love how all the different pieces came together.

Definitely one of those projects that reminded me that stepping outside my comfort zone can be pretty damn fun.

B is starting at a new school this year, so of course I couldn’t just send her with regular old pencils.

I made her a set of bright neon pencils, each personalized with a different French message chosen specifically for her — little reminders that she can take her time, ask for help, try again, be herself, choose kindness and remember that she belongs exactly where she is.

Then I got carried away and made a whole bunch for her new classroom too. Those ones have a mix of French affirmations and classroom messages for her teacher and classmates to use throughout the year.

I love the idea that something as simple as grabbing a pencil can give a child a tiny reminder that they’re capable, their voice matters, kindness counts and they have a place in their classroom.

I’ll be offering personalized pencil sets for back-to-school as well:

We were invited to a birthday party today, and that birthday party ended with a BBQ at their new home… so of course that meant I needed to quickly put together a housewarming gift for them. 😂

Here is the result!

This one is approximately 18” x 24” and features a black backer, raised maple Scrabble-style tiles, raised black lettering, and a Kona-stained wood frame. Each tile is 2”!

I love how the lighter maple pops against the black background, and having all of the family names connected makes it that much more personal.

Definitely one of those “I have a couple hours, let’s see what I can make” projects that turned out better than I had pictured.

Miss B turned 8 last week.

So of course I had to make her a little birthday milestone sign to remember all of her very important 8-year-old favourites — including tacos, all the animals, and apparently three completely reasonable career plans.

These are approximately 7.5” x 7.5”, made from laser-cut maple and acrylic with UV-printed details. The white acrylic pieces can be written on and changed each year, so it can come back out for every birthday.

I’ve added them to the website with a couple different colour options available.

Because apparently one birthday keepsake is never enough around here.

Like… very much.

But apparently every once in a while they’re worth the swearing because LOOK HOW CUTE THIS TURNED OUT.

My customer sent me an inspiration photo for a porch sign and gave me the freedom to put my own spin on it. I went with a hand-painted cow print, stained wood border, raised matte black acrylic lettering, a detailed Highland cow, greenery, dried florals and — against my better judgment — a handmade layered bow. 😂

She wanted around 5’ tall, so this beauty is a full 5’ × 9” and definitely makes a statement without taking over the whole porch.

I absolutely love how this one came together!
