Hello fellow gardeners !
I know with the nicer weather we all get excited about planning and starting our vegetable gardens. And that’s exactly what we’ve been up to at the Community Gardens .
We’ve got lots of starters on the go to fill our greenhouse and have also begun our Wednesday meet ups at the Gardens at 4pm, weather permitting, for some hands on clean up work, weeding and getting our hands in the dirt preparing the beds for planting.
If you’d like to join us please email us at:

We love to welcome new members !

Come on out to our CommunityGardens general meeting tomorrow evening. We’d love to have lots of new volunteers for next year ! There are so many benefits to reap with only a small commitment of your time . All are welcome !

This year's gardens turned out very well and the addition of a greenhouse will be even better for the following year. Thanks to those that participated and we hope to see you return in 2026.

Our AGM will be held at St. Michael's Church - 1990 Chapman Street
Wednesday November 5th at 6:15 pm

There are 2 vacancies on the board as our Secretary has moved to Kamloops and we will need to fill that position. Also the Chairman of the Board, will not be staying on. After 7 years our Chairman has decided it is time to pass the torch on to someone else. New additions to the board are most welcome !!
Please reach out to us or come out to our meeting on Nov 5th if you’d like to be part of the planning or gardening of our Community Gardens. You can choose to participate in either an administrative or hands on capacity. So many benefits and bountiful harvests to share and enjoy !
Hope you see some new faces on Wednesday’s meeting !

Time of the season to start pulling all those last veggies and trying to process as much as you can whether it means freezing or drying or just enjoying them fresh !
Quite a lot of root veggies to still pull and of course lots of Red Russian garlic still to plant soon. We’ll devote 2 beds to our garlic sourced from Lucas’s Three Bar Ranch !!
And still the most beautiful flowers to enjoy in the outside beds , just magnificent !!
