Couldn’t have done it without these people 🌱

It was a great afternoon spent with friends who were willing to spend their day helping us plant the seedlings into their beds. Gardening, friends, wine and pizza. Couldn’t have been a more perfect evening.

My favourite little farm helper 🪴🤍

The beds are prepped and we are doing a planting party with some friends to get the flowers in 🌸

This past week was a busy one: perennial beds built and prepped, flower boxes ready to go, layout plans made, fertilizing done, and some plants moved out to the greenhouse.

Now this week, rain and all, my brothers graduation, some shipment unloading, flowers planted, move some perennials into their new homes, transplant a few others, and build one more bed later in the week.

All while someone gets their very first tooth poking through at the same time. If you know, you know. 😅

Can’t stop, won’t stop buying “just a few more” flowers 😅🌸

Picked up “a couple” new perennials and “a few” annuals to help fill the gaps of the flowers I sowed from seed.

Markets are booked, the flower beds are being prepped, a large wholesale order is already in for fall. We’re fully leaning into the flower dream this summer🤍

First seeds of the season are in the soil 🌱
Lisianthus humbled us last year (as did ranunculus 🙄)… so naturally we planted them again. This time with an early start and a greenhouse on our side!

It feels so good to have my hands back in the dirt and to get to enjoy growing flowers this Spring and Summer with our little guy by our side! 💐🍼

🌸 This season didn’t quite go as planned! 🌱

I had high hopes of tending to the garden, harvesting armfuls of blooms, and showing up at farmers markets with bouquets in hand — all while growing a baby 🤰💐

But sometimes life has other plans… Our baby decided to come early this August, and between pregnancy complications and his early arrival, most of my summer dreams had to take a backseat!

We’ve still been soaking up flower moments when we can, but it’s definitely been a slower, more challenging season. That said — it’s also been a big year of learning, resting, and adjusting expectations!

Thank you to everyone who has stuck around, cheered us on, and supported this little flower journey — even in the quiet seasons. Here’s to growing in every sense of the word 🧑‍🧑‍🧒

We’re already dreaming of next spring and can’t wait to be back with fresh blooms! See you in the next season! 🌷

I’ve been feeling like my blooms were really behind this year compared to local flower farmers in my area (comparison is the thief of joy I know, I know) BUT we are finally really starting to take off!
