Hi! 👋

It’s been awhile.

Life has certainly been busy lately (in a great way), and I have been slacking with posting projects to my page here. To be honest, I haven’t had the chance to really work on anything for the better part of a year!

However, here is a of some projects from 2023/24 that were completed, and not necessarily staged for photos! 🤣 A mixture of little pieces for my casa, or commissioned projects for clients in their home.

I’ve slowly been “dusting off” my tools and getting back into some new projects, so hope to be posting a little more regularly! 🤞🏼

Top drawers, handles and legs stripped and stained using and pigment. Remaining drawers covered with textured paintable wallpaper. Toe caps and k***s sprayed with a brushed gold.

UPDATE - it has sold! ☺️

Happy Saturday!!

I’ve made the decision to sell this super cool vintage vanity desk and stool, which has been in our spare bedroom for the past year and a bit! We’re doing some reconfiguring of our living spaces, and so we need to find this lovely piece a new home where it can be used and appreciated! 🥰

What a transformation! 😍😍😍 Make sure you swipe 👉🏻 for the before photo - I still can’t believe it’s the same piece!

A lovely friend gifted me this vintage Knechtel buffet, and although it is solidly built, the look was a bit dated for my liking - So, I got to work!

I removed the trim pieces from the drawers and the wooden moulding from the doors, which I adhered some paintable wallpaper to.

I removed the base and sanded to raw wood, and stained and sealed using and their “espresso” pigment.

The rest of the piece was painted using my in, once again, an unmeasured custom mix of One Hour Enamel in “Dark Forest” and “Jet Black” for this gorgeous deep, deep green.

I removed the dated green felt from the drawer bottoms, replacing with this complimentary peel and stick wallpaper on the two outer drawers; and cleaned and conditioned the middle drawer bottom with WO’s salve in “citrus mint”.

Covering the doors in paintable wallpaper meant that I could change out the hardware and move it’s location to the side instead of the centre. I went with some antique brass cup pulls and matching k***s to really update and complete the look.

It’s - and I’m finally bringing you a new of my latest project piece - a 12-drawer Malcolm dresser! Make sure to swipe 👉🏻 for the before!

Had a bit of fun with this one - I played a game called “kitchen sink paint”, using up a bunch of leftover bits of One Hour Enamel colours - and this is what came out!

The top and legs were sanded down to raw, and I used a few different methods to achieve the look I was going for. First, I did a paint wash using 50:50 paint:water ratio using Fusion Mineral Paint in “Algonquin”, once that dried, I went over it with General Finishes water-based stain in “Graystone”, and once that was dried, sealed with a tinted Odie’s oil using a combination of “up in smoke”, “titanium white” and “all the greige” pigments.

I upgraded the hardware, lined the top 3 drawers, and treated the remaining 9 drawers with Wise Owl’s furniture salve in “Citrus Mint” scent.

Hi friends! 👋

It’s hard to believe it’s already September - and that I’ve hardly posted anything all summer! Oops! 😬 I guess that means it was a good one! ☺️

Things slowed significantly for me on the furniture front while I enjoyed lots of travel and outdoor activity with family and friends. 🚴

My focus turned to working on custom commissioned pieces, which I didn’t always have the chance to stage, photograph and post before they were whisked away - but I did get a few photos of them in their new environments!

I’ll be getting back to posting regularly now, and have a few projects in the works that I’m excited about! Stay tuned!
