💕The Small Things💕
•
With another lockdown underway it’s so important to cherish the moments that bring lightness and happiness to your day
•
It’s often the small things that mean the most
•
Take a long walk, order your favourite takeout, call your friends and family; it could even be as simple as treating yourself to some beautiful blooms - anything to brighten your day
•
It’s a tough time for so many so check in on your loved ones, support small businesses and take time to care for yourself!

💕Drapery💕

The simple addition of some drapery panels can make all the difference in transforming your space
•
They can add texture, print, colour and provide some much needed function to spaces looking to reduce sunlight
•
In our case, I was looking for some luxurious framing on this gorgeous bay window in our principal bedroom. With our shutters we weren’t needing these to block any sunlight, instead they are providing some added beauty to this focal feature in our room
•
The softness this drapery adds to our bedroom really brings a whole other level of comfort and serenity to the space 🛏💤
•
Tip: position your curtain rods higher on the wall above your window to create the illusion of higher ceilings. Rule of thumb is 4”-6” above your window or all the way up to your ceiling for maximum impact!

Our green modern moulding wall is complete!🍾
•
I wanted to incorporate a feature accent wall that combined interest through bold colour and repeated pattern as this is a wall you see from the living space and when you walk into the basement
•
Over the past several weeks I took this concept from inspiration, to drawings, to taping out the layout and finally to install (swipe through for each step of the way)
•
I can’t forget the painting process and what a process it was (coats on coats)! This Salamander green by Benjamin Moore is a favourite of mine (and judging from all the messages I got a favourite of yours too!)
•
It feels so good to get this project done and seeing this office/gym space start to come together
•
Sometimes simple moulding can take your accent wall to a whole new level! 💕

A little Testimonial Tuesday 💕

Jen reached out to me to help her with a long wall in her living room that was a constant pain point for her and her family in how to best decorate and fit into the design
•
With some creative space planning we were able to provide an updated layout and design plan to best utilize the full living area and create optimal flow for this hub of their home
•
It was such a pleasure creating concepts for this beautiful living room space and I’m looking forward to us working on more projects in the future 💕

Even the smallest addition to a space can have a big impact 💃
•
I came across this rattan and teak stool a Homesense a couple weeks ago (I was in serious Homesense withdrawal!) and knew I needed to have it, but didn’t have an exact spot in mind for it
•
I’m a firm believer that if you love a piece you’ll always find a spot for it!
•
This little stool has already brought so much function to this space - a foot rest for lounging, an additional seat, a side table for drinks, and a chic little feature to tie into the natural oak finishes I have in our living room
•
I love when new home decor finds work out perfectly 🥰

✨Tuesday Style Tip✨Digital Prints💕
•
I’m always on the lookout for unique and beautiful art pieces for my home and for clients that can provide interest and detail while staying within the budget
•
For our bar cart I sourced a couple of my favourite digital prints to layer in some cool cocktail inspiration (this print of Roger Moore I was eyeing for quite some time!)
•
By sourcing digital prints you can get curated gallery wall looks or a statement art piece at a fraction of the cost while still supporting small businesses and artisans
•
How does it work? I like to choose my frames ahead of time to fit the space, select my artwork (make sure the sizing you need is available for download!), download the files and use a local printer to print the artwork for a professional look (I go Staples or Costco) - you can often get your prints delivered directly to your home (how easy is that!)
•
Bonus is that you get multiple sizes sent to you so you can reprint should you want to have a different size for that print down the road 💕

Instead of how about 💕
•
Last weekend I sifted through lots of old family items that have been stored away for years and if you followed my stories you know I found so many amazing things!
•
This art piece was made my my Mom’s Grandma and the second I saw it I knew I needed to have it
•
I never got to meet her, but to know I not only have something of hers in my home but something that was made by her (it’s needlepoint!) is so incredibly special
•
This spot in our bathroom is perfect because it lends to the more traditional styling of some of the elements in the space and adds some warmth to that wall to pair perfectly with all the brass - It’s like it was made for this space!
•
A vintage find or family heirloom is a meaningful addition to any space and also something that adds real character and a lived in quality to your home, so don’t be afraid to mix the old with the new 💕
•
