The bread freezes very well so if you’re wanting more than one loaf, don’t be shy! I’ll figure it out! I’ve been pre-slicing mine, then toasting it in the morning and that fresh, homemade flavour lasts for days!

Stuck at work and don’t even get to sample my sample 😭!!

What a beautiful week it is looking to be! Time to break out of the house and head down to The Farmhouse to visit us.

We’ve partnered with local sourdough bread maker, Heather Hagen (also known as Average Karen) this week to bring you a delicious Italian Club Sandwich. Tomorrow ONLY you can sample her beautifully crafted artisan sourdough bread by ordering our Tuesday Lunch Feature: The Italian Club. Naturally leavened bread made with locally milled organic flour and baked FRESH by Heather herself in the early hours of the morning. We really don’t think it can get much more local, fresh or homemade than that!

For the rest of the week we have some equally palette pleasing Lunch Features:

TUESDAY: ITALIAN CLUB SANDWICH ON FRESH SOURDOUGH
WEDNESDAY: THAI CHICKEN FLATBREAD
THURSDAY: CAJUN CAESAR WRAP

Love is in the air this week with Valentines Day quickly approaching so we’ve crafted some NEW beverages for you. For a VERY Limited Time ONLY you can try our CHERRY CHEESECAKE FRAPPUCCINO or our CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT MOCHA. We don’t know which is best so you are going to have to try them both and be the judge yourself!

We are also working on stocking our dessert cooler with some Cupid approved treats such as MACARONS and CUPCAKES this week so stop in and see our selection as the week goes by.

It’s Christmas Eve EVE and time to give a huge thanks to everyone who has supported my little bread-hustle. The connections made with so many new people were such an unexpected perk, it has been truly enjoyable chatting over messenger and sometimes even catching someone making a pickup from the cooler.

Watch for a post in the New Year when Bread Pitt (the starter) is ready to come out of holidays. Hoping for January 10th but Monday regulars will know he can be a bit stubborn…

It would be nice to gloss over the current state of affairs and leave it at that but it can’t be ignored that this has been a tough year for us all and we’re facing another Christmas of awkward conversations and divisiveness, no matter where we may stand politically or medically. There has definitely been a reluctance to share any opinions on social media because it seems such a polarized, dangerous place to show true colours. However, going into our third year of this pandemic, we are probably all questioning things on some level.

I have no answers about what is going on in the world and hope to never claim to (who knows what I’ll say after a bottle of wine though!). All I can offer is this podcast. I have listened to this three times now and will probably listen to it again. In a world where nothing seems to make sense, this lends a bit of clarity and even better, the ability to rest your shoulders and breathe a bit.
