🙋🏼‍♀️Hi! I’m still here! It’s no secret that October - December was basically mass production of all the things. For markets and commissions, every day I was creating a watercolor or rug hooking.

The only thing I’ve created since the holidays was a vision board. 2026 will bring more creating, more focusing on my art, more collabs with businesses and airbnbs, more of what I love.

But for now, this is the recharge and set the intent for the year.

Anyone else make a vision board?? ✨

☕️The request: a simple, sketchy style painting to gift to the owners of The Roost Café on York Street.

And now I can post (in reverse order of the process) as it’s been received! 🤍

I did receive some photos that I could use, and of course creeped their IG page, but I decided to do a little drive by to get a better feel. We had snow down and it made everything look so lovely during December, then p**f it was gone. So I improvised a bit and incorporated a wintery scene to commemorate their first holiday season being opened.

I’ll say it before, and I’ll keep saying it, thank you for choosing me to create something special.

I was asked to create a birch tree and cardinal painting to gift to someone who the symbolism would have great meaning.

This is why I love doing paintings so much. Something within the painting sparks emotion and connection.

Nature and winter scenes are my default for what I gravitate to when doing water color.
This one made me crave doing more birch trees and walking around the waterfowl park boardwalk in my town.

I had commissioned pieces this Christmas that certainly pulled on the heart strings. This one is safe to post now that it’s been opened.

Maxx is missed dearly by his family, and I was asked by their children to do a painting of him to gift for Christmas.

Knowing the impact of losing a special dog and having our first Christmas without her, despite animals not being when I gravitate to for painting, I was in.

How incredible is it as an artist that someone trusts you to create magic and invests in your work. 🤍
