Pour continuer sur la lancez de Montreal nommee une des villes UNESCO du Design
Dévoilement du Projet Pavillon 5 par Manon Asselin Architecte et Jodoin Lamarre Pratte Architectes en consortium au MBAM
Le cinquième pavillon du Musée abritera sa collection des maîtres anciens à l’art moderne, enrichie de la très importante donation des œuvres offertes par le couple Hornstein, ainsi que des espaces éducatifs et communautaires. Prévu pour les célébrations de 2017, il soulignera une fois de plus la qualité architecturale de Montréal, Ville UNESCO de design, tout en constituant l’une des activités du 375e anniversaire de la métropole.
Le nouveau pavillon international du MBAM sera situé rue Bishop, au sud du pavillon Jean-Noël Desmarais. Les deux bâtiments seront reliés par une passerelle enjambant l’accès à la ruelle. Une entrée spécifique permettra aux groupes adultes, scolaires et communautaires d’accéder au Pavillon 5, ce qui contribuera à animer la rue Bishop.

This fifth pavilion will house the Museum’s collection, from Old Masters to modern art, now enriched by the remarkable donation of works donated by the Hornsteins, together with educational and community programmes spaces. Scheduled to open in time for the celebrations of 2017, it will affirm yet again the architectural excellence of Montreal, a UNESCO City of Design, and feature as one of the highlights of the city’s 375th anniversary.
The Museum’s new international art pavilion will be built on Bishop Street, to the south of the Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion and linked to the latter by an aerial bridge over the alleyway. It will comprise an entrance for adult, school and community groups that will contribute to the liveliness of Bishop Street.
