MONDAY PROJECT ✨🖤
Modern exterior transformation
We transformed the main entrance door frame and the two garage door frames from white to a sleek modern black finish.
(Only the garage frames were painted since the garage doors will be replaced with new ones.)
Our professional process included:
✅ Deep cleaning & degreasing
✅ Surface preparation & sanding
✅ High-adhesion primer
✅ Caulking for a clean seamless finish
✅ Professional spray paint application
✅ Factory-like smooth finish
Everything was professionally sprayed using commercial spray equipment — no rollers or brushes used. 👌

Day 4 – Project Completed ✅✨

Final completion day for this full thermofoil cabinet restoration project.

Today’s work focused on final detailing, finishing corrections, precision caulking, deep cleaning, and complete reinstallation to ensure a clean, seamless, and professional final result throughout the entire kitchen.

✅ Final touch-ups and finish inspection completed
✅ Precision caulking applied on necessary joints and transitions for a cleaner integrated finish
✅ Full cleaning and detailing of all cabinet surfaces and surrounding workspace
✅ Hardware and doors professionally reinstalled and aligned
✅ Final inspection completed under professional lighting conditions

This project involved extensive thermofoil removal, adhesive cleanup, detailed sanding, shellac-based priming, and multiple finish coats to restore the cabinets with a durable and modern factory-style appearance.

Day 3 Progress 🔥

Major transformation day on this thermofoil cabinet restoration project.

After extensive surface preparation and restoration work, we completed the priming, sanding, and finishing stages on both the cabinet structure and doors.

✅ Two full coats of premium shellac-based primer applied throughout the entire kitchen using Zinsser BIN Shellac Primer
✅ Fast-drying shellac system allowed proper sealing of exposed MDF and previously damaged thermofoil surfaces
✅ Full primer sanding process completed using fine 400-grit sanding for an ultra-smooth surface preparation
✅ Two finish coats applied on all cabinet frames and structure
✅ Three finish coats applied on all cabinet doors for maximum uniformity, coverage, and durability
✅ Detailed sanding between stages to ensure a smooth factory-style finish

To maintain a clean and controlled environment during the refinishing process, the project is being completed using professional extraction equipment, including air scrubbers, ventilation systems, and drying lamps to improve airflow, reduce odor, and optimize curing conditions throughout the project. ✨

Day 2 of this kitchen transformation 🔥

Today was all about the preparation process — the most important step behind a long-lasting, factory-smooth finish. We sanded all cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and structures while carefully removing all the old thermofoil adhesive to ensure perfect primer and paint adhesion.

For this project, we used multiple sanding grits including 120, 180, and 320, combined with the professional Festool Granat abrasive system and Festool dust-extraction vacuum sanding setup. This system allows us to achieve an ultra-smooth surface while keeping the workspace cleaner and minimizing dust inside the home. ✨

Now everything is fully prepped and ready for primer and paint. 🎨👌

Kitchen cabinet restoration project involving failing and lifted thermofoil surfaces. Our refinishing process is focused on restoring proper adhesion, surface integrity, and achieving a long-lasting factory-style finish.
