Did you know!!?? Each cork cell is a 14 sided polyhedron filled with air💨, with an extremely strong membrane that is waterproof and air tight?? 😮 Cork is roughly 89% air volume allowing for both thermal ☀️ and 🎵🎶🎵 acoustic insulation. Cork is also naturally impermeable, it contains a magic chemical which renders it impermeable to liquids and gases, this chemical is a mixture of fatty acids and heavy organic alcohol called Suberin which also keeps it from rotting or degrading. In our harvesting process we only shave the outer layers, by hand, ensuring the trees will produce product for 150-200 years. These are just some of the amazing properties of just cork alone, added to our internationally patented polymer resin it becomes a revolutionary building product.
