I have not had the opportunity to do this myself yet, however I have seen others do it and it is a great idea. Aside from enriching your own garden it also looks great and can provide food for animals.

starting some Butterfly W**d indoors.
"Asclepias tuberosa" is a perennial plant and species of milk w**d growing 1-3 feet tall with clusters of red/orange or yellow flowers that bloom from early summer to early autumn. It prefers sand or gravel soil but mine have always done fine in the soil I use for everything. It attracts butterflies with its bright colors and plentiful production of nectar. It is also the larval food plant for queen and monarch butterflies. Hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators are also attracted.
