Another year has gone by at Parkdale Manor. Our electrical upgrade is all done and we hope our tenants will see the benefits in the coming months.
Parkdale Manor has seen alot of activity over the past few years, it seems like we have been under constant construction since Janaury 2017. But with a bit more patience we hope to have a completely new Parkdale Manor by the end of the year.
We have just finished painting all the common areas, foyers, stairwells etc at Parkdale Manor and it looks and feels like a million bucks. With all the improvements that has been done, it was time to spruce up the paint and our tenants are loving the new look.
Parkdale Manor has acomplished a lot over the past 2 years, but as the saying goes "why stop now". With the assistance of NLHC, Parkdale Manor will be installing new kitchens and new bathroom vanities in the apartments, in the coming weeks. We are pleased to announce that Fort Property Construction and Renovations was the successful bidder for this project. This is the last MAJOR renovation and I guess we saved the best for last. Many thanks to Josh at NLHC for taking on this project and working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the tenants at Parkdale Manor get only the best as they deserve. Plus new taps and sinks too.
Who knows what else might be in the works for Parkdale Manor in coming months. I guess we will have to wait and see what might be next.

Well here we go again. We are almost finsihed our upgrading of all the electrical at Parkdale Manor. This would be plugs, switches, heaters, thermostats and all the lights, even in the laundry rooms and common areas have been changed to LED. Our tenants are loving the new look and are even more excited about how much this will save them in the future. A big thank to Rick and Dean at NLHC who oversaw this project for Parkdale Manor. H&F Electrical was awarded the tender and during the time they have been working at Parkdale Manor, they have been cordial and respectful remembering that this is home to seniors. I cannot thank you enough H&F Electrical for making this renovation so easy on everyone. A big thank you from all our tenants and the Board of Directors.

Well 2017 was quite the year for the tenants at Parkdale Manor. It was 1 year ago, Jan 14/17 @ 1AM we had a major flood which affected 2 apartments on the 2nd floor and 2 apartments on the 1st floor. The place was full of firemen and water was going everywhere. Thankfully everyone was okay. After 8 weeks our displaced tenants finally moved back into brand new apartments, with a few good changes. Many thanks to Belfor Restorations who looked after the construction, they went above and beyond.
In July we started another tear up, this one was to install an elevator and to replace all the cooper piping throughout the building and apartments. It seemed like it was never ending but finally by December we were finished and our elevator was online and all the holes were finally gone. Thank you to Paul Nolan Electrical and Dawes Plumbing.
As we go into 2018, the Board of Directors would like to say thank you to all our tenants, you are the best. It has been a rough year, not only with construction but also with sickness and loss. But we got through it.
What is next for Parkdale Manor. We will be announcing more good news in the coming weeks.

Tenants at Parkdake having a Christmas social. Construction is done and elevator is working. Time to relax and enjoy the Christmas season.

Construction at Parkdale Manor is almost finished. We are into the final stages for our elevator, having it certified.
The tear up from copper pipe replacement throughout the building and all the apartments is finished, the holes have been gyproced and the painting is just about done too.
Hoping by the end of November 2017 to have everything completed and our elevator in operation for the tenants of Parkdale Manor.

Elevator has finally arrived and Installation to start this week, October 16, 2017. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and it will be operational in a few weeks. Tenants on 2nd floor are looking forward to a much easier climb to their apartments.

Our construction is moving along. Have finally finished the upgrade to replace all the copper piping through out the building and all the apartments.
Construction for our elevator is right on schedule with our elevator delivery about 2-3 weeks away.

We are into week 5 of construction and things are moving along at a good pace. We have about 80% of the copper pipes replaced and the elevator installation is coming along too, at its own pace. Right now Parkdale Manor looks like a demolition field but in a couple of months we will hopefully be all back together.

Construction has started to install our elevator. Should be up and running in a few months.
