Tiger Eye Sumac is a beautiful small tree / large shrub that will give you interest year round! It is said that this variety doesn't spread like the standard Sumac, but if you decide to move it after it has been planted for a year or two, well... it will send up suckers. Because it is a smaller tree, it is also suitable to be grown in a container! and you won't have to worry about the suckers. Plant in full sun to part shade, very drought resistant when established, deer will graze the lower leaves.

Daphne "Eternal Fragrance" is starting its second flush of blooms. Unlike Daphne odora, Eternal Fragrance blooms almost continuously into the fall. If you are looking for fragrance in your garden this might be what you are looking for! It will grow to about 3' high by 4' wide in either sun or part shade. It is evergreen and deer resistant!

Yerba buena, Good Herb, is blooming right now. A native evergreen ground cover for a shadier location. The leaves can be used in teas. Drought tolerant when established and ignored by rabbits and deer!

PSA‼️Over half of the critters we have received through our hospital doors in the past two weeks have been fed by the finder. We understand the caring nature this response comes from, but PLEASE, we beg you, call us before attempting any sort of care. Ask us for advice. Do not feed injured or orphaned wildlife.

If the animal is visibly injured and where safe to do so, you can contain them in a box or tote then call us. Or stand back and watch them as you call us for advice. 📞

When an animal comes into care, our trained staff assess the patient's health and correct dehydration. We provide the correct nutrition based on the animal's state. Incorrectly feeding or offering water can be deadly in some situations. We have seen incorrect diets, unstable critters falling into water dishes, and food being given in ways that harm the animal.

It warms our hearts to see how much people care, but sadly kindness can kill. Please call us at 250 337-2021 ext 2 for support.❤️
