Lots of maintenance work over the last few days with some weekly and biweekly clients.

Weeding and planning at my first clients in West Lake. We'd like more colour and fewer bare patches in these lovely mature gardens. Plans are underway so watch for updates!

In Wellington, annuals have been planted with tulips and daffodils cutback to prepare for all the summer blooming flowers. Shrubs were tidied up and fertilized for the upcoming season.

In Amherstview, I removed more Sunchokes that have found their way throughout this garden. Some weeding and vegetable planting rounded out this quick trip.

In Picton, more bulbs were cut back and Lots of weeding as the bindweed attempts to take over these gardens. So many perennials have come back and these gardens are going to be in full bloom soon!

My last stop, also in Picton was all about planting. A cut flower garden was planted here with Zinnia, Cosmos, Dahlias, Gladys and more! Elsewhere, a grapevine was removed and replaced with two pink Clematis.

I have quite a bit more planting to do, including some volunteer gardens, in the next few days so stay tuned!

More full, sunny days with maintenance clients in and around Picton & Milford.

There was lots of splitting and transplanting at my first clients property. Coneflowers, Sedum and an entire wheelbarrow full of Hostas were split and moved to other gardens.

Next, I tackled some weeding, uncovering an Astibille patch in a shaded corner. I also removed more Wild Parsnip that has popped up in sneaky places, like under these lilac. We'll be extending these tiered gardens and adding more fruit trees soon!

Today, was spent planting up pots for the Bed & Breakfast. Five new planters were filled with sun loving annuals for long lasting colour. Herbs were planted and the Palms & Portulaca from last week are out at the pool.

My last stop today involved taking stock of the plants in a designer garden. Luckily, they had their original garden plans handy so I was able to figure out what is missing and where. After some weeding, I'm really looking forward to planting up this garden in a few weeks and getting it back to it's intended splendor.

It's looking like rain this weekend so I'll be getting some planting of my own done too, just in case!

Some before & afters from the last two days with lots of weeding, planting and pruning.

The gardens I maintain are filling out beautifully with spring blooms slowly giving way to summer blooming plants.

I've been working away at replacing the shrubs and trees in a variety of gardens since setting up trade contract with Connon nurseries. This winter was tough and some plants are struggling to show signs of life. I've fertilized & pruned so if they're still struggling at this point, I'm starting to think about replacements.

Today, I added some perennials to the new gardens I planted last season in Picton. Both the front and back gardens, the shade garden and the new plants around the pond have come back beautifully so it's just a matter of filling a few spaces.

In Hay Bay, the privacy panels have gone up! The shrubs in the back gardens are doing wonderful with some having doubled in size from last year. Today I worked on planting some clover and Prarie Dropseed around the front. I also moved some native Clematis to climb the panels and relocated some Black Eyed Susans.

Also included are some of the animals I've befriended (or forced to love me with treats). I've always loved animals and they really are the cherry on top of my days!

Another busy weekend in the gardens!

In Belleville, I did a spring clean up for a maintenance client including weeding, pruning and removing a pear tree and evergreen shrub that didn't make it through the winter.

In Napanee, another spring clean up with some weeding, pruning, planting and relocating some perennials for better visual appeal.

I finished off the weekend today in Picton with two maintenance clients. Roses were cut back, gardens were edged and weeded and I split some of the larger perennials that were starting to outgrow their spots.

I also helped plant up a veggie garden that my clients set up for the food bank. Their goal is to donate as much fresh produce as possible and with the gardens this full, I'd say they're off to a great start.

Everything is coming up beautifully and I can’t wait to see these gardens burst into bloom!

It's been a beautiful couple davs maintaining gardens around Picton, Milford, Wellington & West Lake.

Along with edging, trimming and weeding, I also did a ton of planting the last few days. Planters were potted up with light pinks, bright whites, Ivy spillers and Pastel Gladiolus that will make their appearance shortly.

Three trays of annuals and a few more perennials were added to these sprawling gardens in Wellington. I focused most of the planting on the front and poolside gardens as they get the most use. However, every garden got annuals this year in colours ranging from white and yellows to pinks and purples.

While planting is fun, I'm even more excited to see them all fill out!

An extra full day today with a brand new garden installation!

Some beautiful tall Panicum grasses, stunning yellow Rudbeckia and graceful flowing Walkers Catming round out this simple yet impactful design.

The other redesign was for the planters on the deck. Bright yellows and airy whites will fill out two flower planters. The third planters was reserved for herbs and filled with Rosemary, Dill, Parsley, Oregano, Basil, Thyme & Chives.

My second stop of the day, in Picton, was all about weeding. Garlic Mustard, Creeping Charlie, crabgrass, Ragweed and bindweed seem to find this property irresistible. Thankfully, the weeds are down to a dull roar now that gets quieter after every visit.

We'll be making some changes and new additions to this property soon as well and I can't wait to share what we're dreaming up!

Planting is officially underway! Over the last few days, I've planted up gardens across Tamworth, Yarker, Picton, Waupoos and Napanee.

I've planted so much for my maintenance clients in the last two days that I can't remember it all! Coleus, Cosmos, Pansies, Dianthus, Sunflowers, Gladiolus, Dahlias, Herbs, veggies and more!

Add in the beautiful weather and the stunning views and I'm in my happy place!
