I was tasked with building out this front entrance for a young busy family of 4 (with the cutest darn pug I ever did meet). Mission accomplished. Like it was always supposed to be there :)

LOVING how this wall mural has elevated this small kitchen wall from boring to fabulous! Such an easy way to make a statement.

Nephew Build!: like any teenage boy my nephew loves his video games and needed ‘more space’ for his gaming gear. So I proposed we build something together. He gets to see how to construct a simple piece of furniture and how to safely use basic power tools. We get to spend quality time together…and nothing beats the satisfaction of looking at something you built.

I built this divider wall to close off the double wide entryway leading from the main hall into the cocktail lounge. It was a great way to give the room more privacy while adding tons of character.

HAND PAINTED wall murals.
I looked at full paper murals and wallpaper…and settled on this in the end. This was definitely the more economical way to go…with the bonus of getting exactly what I wanted.

Plus it was a ton of fun to design and paint.

BEFORE & AFTER: my sisters kitchen!!
I can’t wait to post this one any longer. It feels like we’ve been waiting for the rest of the hardware forever…so…!!

No good before pics…but you can tell from the last images just how dark and gloomy it was in there…even during the middle of the day.

I’ve been wanting to reno this one ever since she moved in. 😬 So this past summer she finally decided to do it!

We brightened up the walls, gave her a HUGE island with storage on BOTH sides, light grey uppers and gorgeous black lowers that just ground the whole thing. Warm walnut laminate counters tied in the existing floors perfectly.

And the tile…can I just say how much I love that tile 😍

We have a log from the cottage drying in her garage that I’ll eventually make chunky floating shelves with to flank her windows.

It’s so nice to gather in here now...

BEFORE & AFTER: I’m totally loving how this basement apt refresh came together. This started out as a tired and dark one bedroom apt. We closed some some doorways, added new ones and took over some unused space to turn this into a bright 2 bedroom with plenty of space.

Both the kitchen and bathroom countertops were treated with RetiqueIt Liquid Wood and then stained and sealed. If you’re curious about this stuff…and it is amazing…I posted all about it in my stories and you can take a look for it there to learn more about it.

We brought both the kitchen and bathroom cabinets to life with some fresh green paint. The hardware was existing and we loved it…so a lot of cleaning and some gold paint made it look fresh and new again. And then we added new flooring and trim throughout.

And I never leave doors white…

Ready for new tenants!
