So fun to actually make something special with all my veggies. Thank you, Mum, for having a mid-summer birthday! We also had a bottle of some very fancy champagne my dad received as a gift!
Appies: smashed fava (this part was the most work) on baguette and an assortment of BC cheeses (all conveniently on sale)
Dinner:
Galette with a creamy herb and garlic base, zucchini, corn, onions, and basil
Mixed green salad with some gorgeous beets from the seed trial
Dessert:
Chocolate whipped tofu pudding with homegrown berries and BC apricots on top
From the garden: favas, garlic, baby red onions, zucchini, rainbow chioggia beets, bekana cabbage, tatsoi, a few kinds of microgreens, basil, chives, raspberries, and blueberries. I think I remembered it all!
