jobs Kaede began to grow. For 10 years we have employed many different craftsmen, some who have branched off on their own or those who have choose to conti

nue to work
faithfully and diligently. We continue to use North Shore trades and suppliers whenever possible for our continuing growing client base. Also by keeping up to date with the ever changing building codes and standards we always hope to achieve the best possible results within our clients’ budgets and needs. In June of 1996 I was approached by a Japanese company looking for Canadian carpenters to build western style 2x4 houses within Japan. At that time Japan seemed a million miles away but choosing it was the right time, we were off. Now 10 years later we have built over 55 homes for numerous companies in Japan and continue to make new and keep old relationships with our Pacific Rim neighbors while continuing to
renovate and build in Vancouver. While the Japanese market has slowed somewhat in the recent years, Vancouver continues to grow with new housing starts and numerous renovations beginning every day. As Kaede Construction continues to grow and build on the North Shore we always look forward to meeting new clients, tradesmen and building suppliers living in the Greater Vancouver area. Kaede Construction is committed to always learning and using the best trades and building suppliers available. It's official. We just cancelled our trip to Naramata tommorow. Not worth it. We went through it 2 years ago and with the smoke and requests to stay away...we will. We'll see if we can sort out something else before summer ends. Stay Safe Okanaganers.

We usually like to mitre and "waterfall" our skylights when turning up into them. This was originally going to be painted ply, but the client then wanted the soffit to continue inside the skylight. We made a custom double J flashing to conceal any exposed edges and voila! We think it turned out ok, and all lined up well.

Scaffolding finally goin up on this East Van 4plex. Moving forward with WRB then 6" outsulation on this one 😵..

Sometimes I have to take a step back from the pressures and stress that my daily work environment puts on me and well.....I couldn't think of a better picture to say "Hey Dad, relax and RocknRoll. It's all gonna be ok!" It's all perspective and these little guys can give us a large dose of it when we need it most. Jaxon went out of his comfort zone for his new hairstyle and I Love it!

Thats a wrap.Cabin #4 retrofit all ready for SD ' open house @ Outdoor School in Brakendale tommorow. On top of this being a teaching module for BCITs LGBQ Indigenous women, we were able to install a brand new envelope including ; WRB, comfortbatt, windows and cedar siding. Interior; new flooring, HW tank and toilets, lunos air exchangers, and few other minor changes. Even a small project like this requires many individuals to make it all come together. Big thanks to everyone involved.
